So the last week or more has been kinda weird for me. I’ve been around people a whole lot more, mainly family… I’ve done more cooking than usual, thereby putting my around people, once again family. It’s been really draining for me. I’m an introvert and I find large amounts of time spent interacting with other humans draining. I’m surprised that the small amounts of time spent with mainly one family member I am not used to plus the time spent cooking for everybody is having such an effect on me, but it is. I kinda just want to curl up into my room and hide away from everybody for a couple of days, but that is not doable. Still… I’m having a bit of trouble wanting to communicate with other people right now which is kinda sucky…
In positive news, though, I have done some more work for my universe I am crafting. I don’t know what I have mentioned before, so I’ll just basically lay it all out. I’ve created 12 characters so far, eight of them human and four of them AI. I’ve named all eight humans and come up with some basic info for all of them. I still need to do a lot of work on the four AI. I’ve redefined the focus of the story in a hopefully better way.
I’m beginning to flesh out some of the more important parts of the city where much of the story will take place. I created a large park that sits on the edge of a large lake that is fed by a river from the mountains and in turn feeds a river that runs out to the near-ish ocean. There is an aquarium sitting on the edge of the lake, a large café place on one corner of the park and a university right across the street from the café and park. I’m still tweaking sizes of things, but as it stands the park is 0.75 mi2.
I also bought some art supplies last night. I got a pack of 12 hard pencils from Derwent, which should be nice to use. I also bought a pack of erasers. One is a moldable eraser, which I thoroughly enjoy. It also comes with a gum eraser and a white eraser. This will give me the chance to see which works best with what types of pencil in what types of situations. I’ve also been reading some of Jeph Jacques (creator of Questionable Content, a fantastic webcomic) responses to art related questions on his Tumblr and it is fairly inspiring. So is going back to the beginning of his webcomic and watching it grow and evolve.
So anyways… that’s all I have ^^;
